Some positive news flow came from the key indicators we track. ABSA PMI gained 0.8 points while Business Confidence (SACCI) gained 0.3 points. Vehicle sales declined albeit at a slower rate of -1.6% y-y compared to May’s decline. In June, CPI inflation was unchanged at 4.5% y/y, however, PPI inflation retreated below 6%. Petrol is expected to increase by 11c/litre and diesel is set to decline by -13c/litre. The Rand closed the month of May at R14.34 to the US Dollar, weaker on a y/y and m/m basis respectively.
