Shamil Ismail

Shamil Ismail

CA(SA), CFA

Before founding Primaresearch, Shamil was the Head of Research at BNP Paribas Securities South Africa. He is a highly rated research analyst, and was rated first in Innovative Research in the 2017 Financial Mail Analyst of the Year rankings. He was also awarded the Absip Research Analyst of the Year in 2014. Shamil is a Chartered Accountant (SA) and a CFA charter holder. He has more than 25 years of work experience, of which the earlier part of his career was spent working at retailers including Woolworths and Clicks.
