Curro (COH) FY24 – Results Snapshot

Diluted HEPS 83.0cps (+13.4% y-y).
Turnover increased by 8.0% y-y to R5 144m. Total tuition fee revenue increased by 7.0% y-y and ancillary revenue increased by 12.0% y-y to R53m.
Expenses increased by 7.5% y-y while expense-to-sales decreased from 82.2% to 81.8%.
OPM increased from 17.8% to 18.2%.
Dividend of 16.60cps (FY23: 14.64cps).
Cash generated from operating activities down by 1.0% y-y to R866m.
Average learners for Curro schools increased by 0.9% y-y to 63 189 learners for the period end. Average learners for Meridian schools increased by 0.4% y-y to 9 449 learners for the period end.
Curro recognised impairments of R365m (FY23: R378m), net of tax, relating to lower yielding school assets.
The company acquired and cancelled 10.7m of its shares for R120m.
