Grand Parade (GPL) – Betting on Burgers

In this report, we initiate on Grand Parade Investments (GPL) and we show that the strategic shift in direction from gaming to foodservices may have been necessitated by the limited opportunities within the gaming sector. GPL’s strategy to compete in foodservices by using international brands may have been a lower risk strategy, but teething problems in the roll-out of Burger King highlight the difficulties for a newcomer into the local foodservice sector.
