Motus (MTH) FY25 – Results Snapshot

Diluted HEPS 1 494cps (+4.6% y-y).
Turnover decreased by 1.0% y-y to R112.6bn, primarily due to the disposal of MTV (Mercedes-Benz Truck and Van UK), this resulted in a R2.9bn reduction in contributions from the Retail and Rental segment, which was mitigated by higher contributions from the remaining segments.
Expenses decreased by 1.0% y-y with expense-to-sales remaining flat at 92.7%.
OPM increased by 10bps to 4.9%, despite strong competition and reduced demand experienced by MTH’s Importer business and the International Retail businesses (the UK and Australia). The decline was offset by the performance in the Vehicle Rental division, Mobility Solutions, Aftermarket Parts (SA and International) and SA Retail.
Cash generated from operating activities improved from R3.5bn to R6.1bn. Dividend of 550cps (LY: 520cps).
MTH sold 206 010 overall vehicle units (2024: 202 623) comprising 115 910 new units (2024: 115 899) and 90 100 pre-owned units (2024: 86 724) during the year.
