Mr Price (MRP) – Fashion Faux Pas

Since March 2016 credit retailers have outperformed the cash retailers which, in light of the strong reported cash sales growth rates and the difficulties in granting credit, we find somewhat perplexing. MRP plans to relook at key price points may, in our opinion, not be the catalyst for improved topline growth as, with MRP’s already low pricing profile, any cut in pricing may not be that noticeable to consumers.
