Netcare (NTC) FY25 – Results Snapshot

Diluted HEPS increased to 131.4cps (+18.0% y-y). Diluted adjusted HEPS increased to 134.8cps (+20.4% y-y).
Turnover grew 4.5% y-y to R26.3bn.
Group GPM increased by 30bps to 49.7%.
Total expenses grew by 4.0% y-y, with expenses-to-sales decreasing by 20bps to 38.9%.
OPM increased by 110bps to 13.6%.
Dividend of 85cps (FY24: 70cps).
Net cash increased from R1 802m to R1 889m, with gross debt up from R7 108m to R7 367m.
Total paid patient days (PPD) increased by 0.7% y-y, but this figure was adjusted to exclude the Netcare Pretoria East Hospital where a fire occurred in December 2024.
In the Hospital and Emergency Services segment, PPD’s grew 0.7% y-y, Acute PPD’s by 0.8% y-y and Mental Health PPD’s up 0.5% y-y.
Surgical cases continued to contribute over 70% of total revenue, accounting for 51.2% of PPD (FY24: 51.3%), with medical cases comprising the remaining 48.8% (FY24: 48.7%) of PPD.
