South Africa recorded 3 526 054 cumulative Covid-19 infections as at 9 January (+1.5% increase from 3 472 436
infections on 2 January), of which 3 286 952 are recoveries and 146 649 are active cases (from 184 191 active cases
on 2 January). The recovery rate is currently 93.2%.
